Story Endings

Last time I wrote about tips and strategies for using stories in teaching and training. I used as examples three stories that I told right up to their cliffhangers in a training on Solution Focused Classroom Management. In the last post I promised the endings to the stories, all of which were used to illustrate one or more of the solution focused strategies of the above workshop. Here now is a recap of the stories along with their endings. All names have been changed.

Stories for Teaching & Training

I recently returned from a national 3 day conference at which I presented two workshops, and facilitated three "job-alike" sessions for college faculty. After spending much of this year as an instructional coach and designer it was wonderful to be back in the role of trainer. While I enjoyed delivering both my workshops, I especially enjoyed the one on solution focused classroom management because it gave me an opportunity to use stories as a tool to train to my outcome.
